Whether you live in an apartment, home, cabin, or houseboat (I have consulted for two!), my practical approach to Contemporary Feng Shui can help you make your home the comfortable and nurturing space that you desire.

Initially, we review your life goals and see how the structure of your home relates to them. We then do a walk-through of the property, focusing on the entrance (where opportunities enter your space – or not), bedroom (where you marinate for a quarter to a third of your time), and the other areas, paying particular attention to the impact of the layout and of messages communicated by colours, images, and objects.

While there will be a long list of suggestions at the end of the initial consultation, we make some changes in the moment to get the energetic ball rolling, creating a foundation on which later implementation of suggestions can build.

I was introduced to Mark by a friend to have a look at the layout of my new condo. I never really believed in Feng Shui, but I must say that Mark changed my mind. The space in which you work has a profound influence on how you conduct your business. Whether you have an office in a company building or at home, or even if you are in a cubicle, I can help you make the space both practical and comfortable on a number of levels. Everything that you need to do your business needs to be easily accessible, and the space needs to be well organized if you are to be productive.

And yet just because you are at work doesn’t mean your space can’t be attractive and motivating: Scientific American Mind magazine has reported that work spaces that were personally tailored to suit workers’ character led to increased productivity. I have designed entire office spaces as well as individual offices and cubicles, with amazing results for the clients in terms of productivity and business goals met.

One of the tenets of success for stores has often been said to be ‘Location, location, location.’ From a Feng Shui perspective, the location of the physical store and its environmental surroundings is one factor, but so is the location of everything in the store:

What is the flow of traffic like outside? Are there any impediments to easily finding and entering the shop? What objects, colours, and placement inside the window and store encourage movement and circulation throughout the store? Is the cash desk easily visible and accessible?

These are some of the considerations that one of my storefront consultations take into account. Maximize your store’s traffic and success with a fresh view of its ‘as-built’ structure and practical solutions to improve its overall functioning.
